In Christ alone is where our strength, our hope, our future lies. It is by Him and Him alone that we are set free from this world so that we can enter the next. [Luke 4:18] The one that God promises to all Believers, those who have confessed Jesus as their personal Saviour, [Acts 16:25-31] which means we place ourselves at the foot of the cross, the Cross that we can be thankful for because without the Cross and the resurrection we are still lost in our sins. [1 Corinthians 15:3-19] Jesus is our Light and He is the One who places us on solid ground. [Psalm 26:12] He gives us shelter when the storms are fierce and stills our hearts when we fear. [Romans 5:11] Jesus is our comforter at all times and in all places as He was a demonstration of God’s Love that flowed down from heaven. [2 Thessalonians 3:5]
In Christ alone we can have that peace for on that night when He came upon the earth the cry was peace and goodwill to all people. [Luke 2:14] That cry has never altered since it was first uttered as it is still there calling people today. [Ephesians 2:14] The coming of Jesus to the earth was the greatest gift the world has ever received because on the Cross our sins were removed. [1 Peter 2:24] God’s wrath was upon the earth for the sins that made this a place of self will instead of His will. [Matthew 6:10] Jesus came to save and that is the reason He died for you and me. [Luke 19:10] God was angry at the things the people of the world had done and from the beginning there has always been accountability for sin. [Judges 10:10-16] Jesus took that guilt of sin upon Himself so in His death we may live. [2 Timothy 2:11]
In Christ alone the evil of the world, that had thought it had won when Jesus died, was placed in the grave and the tomb sealed, is overcome. [Matthew 27:65-66] But no human seal or even death could hold Him in the grave [Psalm 16:10] as He came busting forth to expose the Light of Life. [John 8:12] He rose victorious over all the things of the world that, when placed next to Him, are not even a shadow when placed in The Light of Jesus. [John 12:46] Oh yes we still sin but in the Light of Christ we can see our way out of it. [1 John 1:5] He stands as a reminder that there is a victory over the sin that grips our hearts and leads to death. [Romans 6:16] But He brought us our freedom by His blood on the Cross. [1 Peter 1:17-21] It is a freedom that can set us free to dance and sing before the King of kings. [Revelation 7:9-10] This all occurred because Jesus was willing to be that one perfect sacrifice for all.
In Christ alone all our past has been washed clean, so we can have no guilt in life and we can look forward to a life - not just in Christ [2 Corinthians 5:17] but with Him for all eternity. [2 Timothy 2:12] He gave us our first breath, He is with us until our last and everything in between. Jesus is our destiny. [John 14:3] Through Jesus, God the Father has placed a hedge around us so nothing can snatch us from Him. [Romans 8:38] Through Jesus alone can we see our future because without Him we walk in total darkness where there is no light, no Jesus. [John 1:5] So it is only in His power and grace that we can stand firm on the truth of the Word until the end. [Ephesians 6:10-17]
